Music Programs Coordinator
Christine Varga ’94 is in her 29th year at BW. She previously served as the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation for 26 years, Assistant Swimming and Diving Coach for three years, and Associate Director of Campus Recreation for the past two years. Additionally, Varga began teaching as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Allied Health, Sport, and Wellness in 1997 and continues to teach wellness courses.
Throughout her tenure at BW, Christine has been vital in the development of Competitive Club Sports, and the creation of the Outdoor Leadership Institute and Youth Adventure Summer Camp. She has secured several grants supporting paddling and archery programming on campus and has played a key role in creating policies and procedures for operations and risk management, as well as writing coaching and student-athlete manuals. Varga’s extensive work in the field of outdoor recreation providing safe and intentional programming solutions to students, community youth, corporations, and organizations to support personal and professional growth and development with a focus on teamwork, communication skills, problem-solving, trust, resilience, and wellness is an asset to BW. Her leadership in facilitating groups provides valuable skills for organizations seeking team building and development opportunities to build bonds, learn skills for success and lead with confidence.
Christine is a 1994 graduate of Baldwin Wallace with a BA in Sports Medicine with a Minor in Fitness Management. Her children grew up as students in the Community Arts Program participating in Dalcroze and private instrumental lessons.
