Private Lessons
Students may enroll in private lessons to receive one-on-one instruction and coaching from a Community Arts School faculty member. Lessons are offered on campus at many times during the week with most of them occurring in the weekday afternoons, weekday evenings and weekends. Students typically enroll in lessons that meet once a week for a half-hour for the full semester. The Community Arts School offers a rolling admission where students may enroll at any time during the semester.
Private lessons allow each student to develop independently through the careful guidance and mentorship of expert, credentialed faculty.

Schedule
Fall Semester: 15 weeks and begins in late August
Spring Semester: 18 weeks and begins in January
Summer Semester: The number of lessons are flexible throughout the summer months from June until mid-August. The student and faculty decide what is best for their study and their schedule.
Rolling admission allows for students to begin at any time during the year.

Tuition
Lesson rates vary per instructor and are based on 30-, 45- and 60-minute lessons. 30-minute lessons range from $25 - $50 per half hour.
Lessons are billed to the online account once each semester and pro-rated for lessons if started within the semester. An automatic payment plan is required for all lessons.
Please refer to our policies detailed here for detailed information on fees, payments and other important information.
Once lessons are confirmed with a faculty member, they will send you a link to register for lessons. Please contact cas@bw.edu if you have questions about the registration process.
Attendance Policy
Participants are charged for all lessons for which they register each semester, including those missed through absence. Teachers are not required to make-up lessons missed by a participant. As a courtesy, participants are expected to notify their teacher directly of any impending absence from lessons; but that does not excuse the absence and will still be considered a lesson for billing purposes.
If a teacher cancels a lesson, a make-up will be offered during the designated make-up week (last week of semester) or at some other mutually agreed upon time.
