BW Women's Chorus

The BW Women's Chorus is a long-standing offering of the Community Arts School and is open to soprano and alto singers high school age and up throughout the Greater Cleveland community including BW faculty, staff and students.

The chorus performs a wide variety of choral literature written especially for the soprano and alto voice range. This includes choral masterworks both classic and contemporary, Broadway and pop. It is helpful (though not required) to have some background in music (instrumental or vocal) and basic knowledge of music reading and pitch matching. Of paramount importance is a willing spirit and open mind—come and sing with us!

No audition is required to join the ensemble, you will complete a hearing at the first rehearsal. It is not necessary to prepare a piece for the hearing. Those interested in being a part of the ensemble should contact us if you have any questions.

Rehearsals are generally held on Tuesdays from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

There are three registration options for BW Women's Chorus:

  • Fall Semester
  • Spring Semester
  • Full Year

If you are a BW student, you can take Women's Chorus for credit toward your Humanities/Perspectives requirement. If you are an educator, you can take Women's Chorus for Professional Development Credit (1 credit per semester, no limit)!
