String Fusion

string fusion ensemble
String Fusion is currently paused. Plans are underway to reinvigorate and relaunch it soon. If you are interested in receiving updates, please contact us here.

String Fusion is an energetic and exciting ensemble that combines violin and viola performance with choreographed movement. These musicians bring the most unforgettable rock, pop, jazz, and show tunes to the stage!

The BW CAS String Fusion Ensemble is for students in grades 4-12. Our instructor, Cassandra Bryant, is on the Suzuki Faculty at the BW Community Arts School.

Expectation/Requirements:
String Fusion musicians will learn how to memorize their music and choreography, but it is expected that they will review and retain all material at home between rehearsals. Violinists and violists are ready to join if they are proficient in either The Two Grenadiers from Suzuki Vol. 2 or the following skills: 2-note slurs and hooked bows of dotted eighth and sixteenth notes; syncopated rhythms with quarter and eighth notes; first position major scales in C, D, G, A, F, and B flat.
