The CAS Junior Prep-Company

The BW CAS Junior Prep Company is a comprehensive dance program for young dancers exploring different dance genres and taking their dance to the next level. With a focus on FUN and exploration, dancers will experience a package of programming that allows them to encounter all dance has to offer. Participants can expect small class settings, personalized encouragement, and focused instruction.

JP Company works as a team to build lifelong friendships in a non-competitive environment that celebrates each child’s uniqueness and accomplishments. Exploration of multiple dance styles allows students to fall in love with the art of dance and see where their dance journey can take them. With the support of an exemplary faculty, JP company dancers receive love and encouragement while building a foundation of technique, positive self-expression, and healthy habits.

The Junior Prep Company curriculum is specifically designed to be well-rounded and comprehensive. Our dancers explore a variety of dance genres. Emphasis is placed on foundational technique and proper terminology to prepare dancers for wherever their dance future may take them.

JP Company dancers discover positive self-expression, enhanced motor skills, strength, and flexibility. Our focus on fun allows dancers to learn and grow in a safe space while discovering who they are as artists.

We train dancers on and beyond the dance floor. JP Company dancers will fall in love with the process of learning dance. In addition to their dance skills, dancers are taught time management skills, confidence, and goal setting.

Expert faculty guide the JP Company students using their blend of professional, yet relatable, experiences. Faculty focus on the dancer as a whole artist and emphasize the mindset, confidence, work ethic, and joy of each dancer. Each individual dancer is loved, celebrated, and supported for who they are.

The Junior Prep-Company schedule will include weekly classes in the following genres:

Acro
Ballet
Contemporary/Modern
Jazz
Jumps, Leaps, Turns

Junior Prep-Company dancers will have a minimum of 2 two performance opportunities during the season. These performance opportunities are an exciting way for our dancers to show off how fabulous they are and what they are working on during the season!

JP Company performances also allow our dancers to bond with our Dance Company students. This “sibling” style bond allows our JP members to have role models to look up to, friends they can count on, and a way to see where dance can take them as they grow!

Any student, age 6 -12, looking to explore the joy of dance in a safe and supportive environment is encouraged to join the Junior Prep-Company. This program is designed to be accessible for young dancers regardless of their current dance level. Each dancer will receive individualized attention to promote growth at an appropriate level.

Dance Company provides serious dancers with a bridge to the industry featuring exemplary multi-genre instruction, meaningful performance opportunities, workshops, and more.*

Junior Prep dancers train as a team and take their core classes together. This camaraderie allows our dancers to have consistent friends and support on their dance journey.

Junior Prep-Company tuition for the 2025/2026 season is $1,650.00.

*Tuition can be paid in full up front or can be paid on a variety of customizable payment plans. There is no additional cost for a payment plan.

*Interested JP Company members can add Tap Wednesdays 6:30 – 7:30 for $200.00. Tap is optional and not required for JP Company participation. *

*All CAS students pay an annual registration fee of $25.00.

*All CAS dance students pay an annual recital fee. JP Company recital fee is $150.00
